What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. In addition to cookies, a website can also use your browser’s local storage (localStorage). Both are used to hold technical information for the duration of a session or beyond. We use local storage to remember individual display settings you have chosen, such as whether a control is expanded or collapsed, or which view you last selected.

Which cookies we use

We use only technically necessary cookies: cookies that are required to operate the platform and, in particular, for your login session, and cookies that store settings you have chosen yourself (see below). The login-related cookies are set as part of authentication and keep you signed in during your session. Without them, core functions such as signing in cannot be provided.

Settings we remember

We also store settings you make yourself in the application so that they are still in place the next time you visit — for example the display language you selected (German or English) or the view you last opened. These cookies contain nothing but your own choice, are not linked to any analysis of your behaviour, and are stored for up to one year. They are only set if you actually use the setting in question.

No tracking, no analytics

We do not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and do not embed any third-party services for that purpose. There is no cross-site or cross-device tracking of your behaviour.

Legal basis

The legal basis for using technically necessary cookies — both for your login session and for settings you have chosen yourself — is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No consent is required for technically necessary cookies.

Managing and deleting cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings and restrict the storing of cookies. Please note that signing in and other core functions will not work without the technically necessary cookies.
